Daz Kitsune / Neko / etc. - 3D characters help needed

I am trying to write my first KN / VN. I chose DAZ as my main 3D tool. I found many different objects to use. My problem is, however, that I don't know how to control e.g. tail movement. I have some ideas of what my characters should look like, but due to my inexperience with DAZ, I can't process it well. I've been programming database applications all my life, and I've never done graphics. Can anyone recommend suitable models and procedures so that I can learn to create realistic characters for my novel? According to my idea, various humanoid (human, orc, elf, ...), anthropomorphic (kitsune, neko, wolf, ...) and alien species should appear in the novel. Mostly loli and shota. As a 3d tool, I tried everything possible: DAZ, VAM, AI-Shoujo, Koikatsu. I like Koikatsu and AI-Shoujo, but I miss the ability to control e.g. tail at the level of individual joints (e.g. turn the tail to the front and "cover" yourself with it like a duvet). Is there an experienced graphic designer who could advise me or recommend a step-by-step tutorial? Thanks for any advice or help.

NB Nor a designer, nor experienced.

One way could be to create your tails with a rig in a 3rd party program and import it within DAZ when needed.

Blender is free and it's what I use, so I would advice this to create your tails
