I will update both places at the same rate and look for feedback/issues daily on both forums still. I haven't made the upload post for Himeros Haven, so it isn't up to date. I just wanted to add Hotel since some don't know that it is the first in the series.

Yeah, the virus flag has been an issue for a long time with Adrift.

The VirusTotal list has 14/65 engines detecting a generic flag. It does not contain any known trojans, but just parts of code that might look like one. I fully understand the hesitation, but sadly there isn't much I can do other then comfirm that I have added nothing to the Adrift runner other then text and images.
The only thing it might hurt is your wrist, if I have done my job right :)

Played this ages ago, it has a really good in-depth story.

Only played the initial demo release of the sequel though, I'm looking forward to the final update of that.

Can i ask serious question? And believe me i am not trying to be a dick or start anything i am seriously curious: is there any reason you have chosen to use adrift as a developer? I could never get into those "type to do things" type of games as it is often "figure out what developer thought" since game will not accept certain phrases even though they will mean same thing as keywords dev programmed to trigger. There is a reason SCUMM was so succesful and made all Sierra games obsolete in matter of months. Is this nostalgia to old King Quest (other Sierra games) or there is diffrent factor?
As i said i am really not trying to be rude and i hope you will not see it as any attack, i do wish you best of luck with your series. I will probably skip this one as i always get frustrated in those type of games as i've already said, and playing with walktrough feels kinda pointles :)

That is good question :) When I started out 2+ years ago, I didn't have any experience with any platform. I had an idea and story for a series of games, but I also knew my limitations as a developer. I had some coding experience, but not nearly enough to do something from scratch. I looked over what types of games I liked to play. I looked at RPGmaker, but quickly moved away from it as it would become very grindy to tell the story I had planned. I knew I wanted it to be somewhat text heavy but still contain the options for rpg and management elements. After looking at different options, it came down to Rags or Adrift for me. I liked the click map options. After testing implementing some events in both I settled on Adrift.
The first many months I spent learning how to do these games and one of the biggest hurdles was "guess the verb" as you mention. I have since then added features to combat that issue. A task list and in most cases a limited amount of verbs that all can be found in the help function. Himeros Hotel still has some quirks due to be being my first project and that is also why I write a step by step walkthrough to get people familiar with the systems. Himeros Haven is much easier to play I think as I have taken everything I have learned and tried to make it as easy as possible.
I have committed to completing the trilogy in Adrift, if I do another game after this, it will most likely be in another engine.

I can't even play it. Even when I finally got it to the cpu, even then I got an error that the cpu would not start the program. FeelsBadMan

Not even 5 minutes onto the game and I'm all ready stuck, because of that terrible "type to write". The problem is that you have to type exactly what you want. Not just "talk to woman" to open an interaction menu but instead "ask receptionist about job", that's just unnecessary specific. With out walktrough I would have it already deleted, but know I can at least try it a bit...

For what it's worth, you do eventually get a knack for text parser games. But they do require a little work and a little patience to learn to play, not unlike RPGs or fighting games or any genre that one has to learn to play. Obviously that isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I'll admit I'm not entirely unhappy that AIF has been moving more towards Twine and away from ADRIFT, but there's a lot of great text parser porn games out there that I'd hate to have missed out on.

Your antivirus is most likely blocking it. As mentioned a couple of posts up, this is a false virus flag. You can unblock it in your antivirus if you want.

So far I have only done "real porn" and that will be the case for the 3 Himeros Games. When I began I had no idea where to being in regards to creating renders or art. The real image niche is not that big and for now I don't mind being a part of that.
I have played around with making 3D renders and there even are some images in Himeros Haven, but that is mostly for testing purposes. I know that I currently wouldn't be able to make anything new or interesting in the 3D render space. Even less so now that so many games have done really well with that.

This is what made RAGS so popular a decade ago. It removed the whole guess the verb problem with a GUI with clickable prompts. I cant remember the last ADRIFT game that was made, glux seems to get more attention, or whatever the program that reads gblorb files is called.

You are right Zeph. It hasn't been easy and I know there are a lot of players that won't come near the game or get very far once they see what it is, but I am fine with the players that like it. I never made it to get rich or I would most likely have jumped on the big tit wincest wagon a year ago :) As long as people like the story enough to play through the game, I will be a happy camper.

@kat777 If you search for Himero's Haven (spelling error by the uploader I think) you will find the 2. game in the series. That is what I am currently working on (writing the 57th sexscene for that right now between answering stuff here ) It is 75% done.
