Re:Strain is a rpg featuring peril themes and a lighthearted story about two young women; Reinie and Ophelia who have always dreamed of becoming adventurers and finally set out on their quest together into a perilous world filled with devious creatures that want nothing more than to capture a pair of adventurous ladies!
The misadventures of the pair will take them far and wide, facing down fearsome creatures and domineering bosses all falling under the rule of the enigmatic Demon Lord.

Personally I think that'll kinda hold back the game? in a game like this you kinda need to offer a thing for everyone.
Some people prefer full nudity while some prefer this but i'm pretty sure the idea of making a game is to try and appeal to a big audience or to several groups so they would take interest in it

There are enough games out there. I disagree strongly with the idea that every game has to appeal to everyone; that's how we got to the vast pool of mediocre games the bigger studios release every year now. There's nothing wrong with finding your niche and being faithful to it.

I'm fairly certain that's why most h-games have a broad range of fetishes/kinks/sexual content, the goal being to have a little something for a diverse group of interests. While I think it's generally successful, I can also get behind a project that knows what they want to deliver: I think it's riskier (and certainly offputting to anyone that likes the art, but would enjoy seeing nudity and/or some specific scenarios), but definitely has as much potential if what they deliver is a sterling experience for the target audience.

It really just comes down to whether what they offer hits the right notes for the target audience enough to offset the lack of nudity. The art style is that perfect mix of cute/sexy for me, and I can get behind stuff like embarrassment and light bondage as kinks...but all that being said, the only question I've never been able to answer is why devs will seemingly want to make a game that is appealing as a game first and foremost, but make it an h-game...why dilute what you're trying to make if you don't even want the things you're diluting it for in the first place? I'm not saying that's exactly what the devs are doing, just that it's odd how h-content is sometimes seen as a blatant "hook" to lure people in, while not being the focus of the game despite the fact that any h-content significantly shifts the way a game is perceived.

Edit: I will ask though, why is the art for the cover image so much better than the character images in combat? The styles are so far apart that they really don't even come across as the same characters.

played this game myself and while it does lack sex scenes it is definitely well polished with really good art and decent story, it is however fairly short and can be done under 10-20 minutes in my case
