The both of you are right, my explanation was a bit vague. You play as a man (the MC), a retired mentor within the prison, and this character is the one you control directly (the secondary protagonist). The main protagonist, however, is the pink-haired girl. In the prologue, it’s implied that the story is told from her perspective, as she’s the main character.It would certainly be nice if the game overview said a bit more about who the protagonist is than just 'retired mentor'.
Are they an actual character in the game that interacts with the others, or just a vague framing device for the training/management? If they're a real character are they a set guy, or girl, or do you get to choose? Is the story told exclusively through them or are occaisional parts where one of these 'party members' takes the spotlight and thats why it has male and female? I don't get why so many games play so coy and mysterious about one of the most key aspects!
In short, the protagonist is the little girl (Zinnia), but the narrative is seen through the eyes of her mentor (Sora).

Previously, it was planned for release on Patreon, but due to the more aggressive nature of Crimson Prison compared to my first project, I found it necessary to switch platforms to subscribestar. I guess I could do it now, but a lot of people aren’t comfortable with loli/shota content.

Thank you, it means a lot to me! My first project, despite me knowing it’s really awful, served as a stepping stone to improve the quality of this second one.
And of course, foot content is definitely planned! Crimson Prison aims to satisfy users with a variety of NSFW scenes and fetishes. Among these, lesbian scenes have been added, even. We’re just getting started, but I’ll do my best with the scenes! I hope you enjoy the game

Hey im stuck on the main quest "The Void Inside an oak" on the step where it says to head to the patio in the morning. I have gone there for like 2 weeks straight and nothing happens, is this a bug or am I stupid?
Finally found another rare visual novel with an excellent story. The premise and setting of the story is very well made and I am looking forward to how it'll advance. I like that the story is not afraid to get dark but still has a nice wholesome side too. The characters feel natural and most of their powers do make sense. The male mc's powers don't seem quite set in stone and after the last scene with him in the prison cells, he seems way too strong to be held down here and haven't already done his revolution he plans, but I'm not gonna be hasty to pass judgment as the story is still in the beginning.
