Why? Why put chromatic aberration in a black and white game?

I know it might make sense considering the title of the game, but my poor eyes...

well, i'm not exactly sure you would get your wish in this one....Lack of color seems like a focal point here
Exactly. The whole theme of the game it's of lack of color in the world and how "weird" it's to them to see people with color. (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

Not to mention, Lucy does mention the world used to have color, until the incident happened and left the world in the state it is. <(=w=)>

If you were to create a mod that actually adds "color" to a coloress world, you'd be missing the entire plot... Not that any of the character would seem to acknowledge that, too. („• ֊ •„)

god i'm so colorblind i didn't even realize the game had chromatic aberration until i read the comments. i guess that's a plus for me, since i don't have to deal with the supposed eye-strain lol

The game looks amazing, but how much content does it have at the moment? Should I download to try it, or wait?
90 days in-game worth of content, though you can actually play unlimited time. (๑´>᎑<)~*

I cleared and even went up to 100 days, and I have yet to find some of the content, which is good. You gotta play with a lot of variants, which puts you between the sword and the wall if not taken seriously. <(=w=)>

But yeah, you could download and give it a try-of course, as it's a demo, there are things that are yet to be developed or added, but what is here is good enough for a couple of good hours. (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧

This is very feature complete game for a first release, and some pretty decent management mechanics with a cute romancable companion. Its strengths definitely lies in its gameplay and writing, since the porn part of the game is pretty stiff and slow at this point in development.

The management mechanics are pretty basic, but still fun. It consists of managing several resources, making sure that they do not get too low, while spending the surplus on experience, training and relationship with Lucy. Early game, it is easy to feel like you are doing things wrong, so I imagine many people will get frustrated and quit at this point. After not too long however, the difficulty will drop off drastically, and you will settle into a routine. Preferably, the game would get harder as the game goes on.

Another appeal of the game is the games great world building and art direction. The game introduces some high magic concepts, then builds the world and art around it until it feels grounded and natural. It is nice to see when a game harmonizes different elements of the game this way.

Lucy is the games heroine, and she is a fairly well written character. It is worth pointing out that the games lore, mechanics and sex content being conveyed through Lucy, centering a lot of the game around her. As a character she is a powerhouse, solving issues and combats while the protagonist is a bit of a bumbling idiot, at least at the beginning. The reasons she stays with the protagonist are random chance, convenience and the fact the protagonist owns an inn, which feels kind of disappointing in a romance. I would prefer if there was an extended section during the first summer where she is weaker and the protagonist nurses her back to health, or show more reasons why she would care about a seemingly very mediocre person. Other than that the shift from friend to girlfriend(?) feels very sudden.

Porn is very much the weak part of the game. The art direction that I in other parts of the game really suit it feel very stiff during the porn scenes, which are unskippable and SLOW. In games where the optimal decision is to engage with a mechanic often the mechanic really should be skippable. Either that or rework the sex mechanics to be a lot more engaging.

Nah, you could reverse it, pretend the world was monochrome, and it is weird to see... white and black people..

For sandboxie-plus users getting a crash at launch, there's some conflict with past godot games in the godot folder in appdata/roaming, just create another sandbox.

Game won't start for me, every time I click on it the game boots up then disappears. IDK why it's not working for me

This game has potential, just needs a bit of rebalancing. I spend more of my time trying to make sure I have food so that I don't take a large punishment. It completely wipes out Lucy's desire level and drops her trust and interest by a staggering amount that takes a few days to recover from (if you're trying to maintain your relationship with Lucy that is).
