Ren'Py - Completed - My Fallen Angels [v1.0.1] [Bad Angel Games]

If you are a fan of harem/management games, you will probably enjoy this.
I enjoyed it quite a bit, though it's missing some pretty basic features that hold it back from being a great game.

The Good

Lovely ladies. Great diversity of women to train, and not a set of giant fun bags to be seen. Really enjoyed how each girl if different and unique. Something for everyone to enjoy.
Gameplay loop is fun, and sandbox is not terrible. The mid to late game grind can get a bit tedious once you have all the girls.
Writing is solid. Story is not terribly original, but it's solid and fun to play through.

The Not so Good

No audio or animations at all. Preferably you want both of these in an adult game, or at least one. Having neither is pretty disappointing. At least some sexy sounds in the lewd scenes would have been nice.
MC is a random blue guy in the training scenes. Don't know how hard it would be to put skin on this guy, but it makes the vast majority of the lewd content not very fapworthy.
Loses a star for not having anal training options, or any real anal scenes at all. What kind of good Sub doesn't do anal? Probably biggest disappointment for me, aside from blue guy.

Structurally the game is sound. If you like Post-Apocalypse or Harem, you will probably like it.
Really hope the Dev makes another game with audio and animations.

Cool idea with and a neat take on the zombie genre. I generally get why this kind of game is naturally a good option to go sandbox instead of just story focused, but I think the balance was a bit off which could have made the game way more fun to play, especially in the second half.

Pros:

+ it feels like a coherent story and I like that even the zombies were provided a proper model
+ a lot of scenes
+ the harem aspect kinda works and fits into the narrative (somewhat)
+ two ways to play it with the usual love/corruption routes
+ decent length
+ good gameplay ideas that feel fitting for the game

Cons:

- the sandbox part starts getting a bit too grindy towards the second half (at least imho).
- the second part of the story tells you to make haste due to a specific event happening, but the gameplay just falls back into the usual slow grinding pace, which was confusing.
- the ending felt a bit rushed, arguably the most important woman in the harem gets the least amount of story building apart from dreams and some descriptions.
- no music
- the "talk to" events were a nice idea but became more of a chore to me after a while as it was a lot of repetition.

All in all, I enjoyed the game, but helped myself with the cheat mod after around 50% of the game, as it became a bit too grindy for my taste.

Personally, I think the game could have been a bit more enjoyable if there was more focus on story-specific elements with the girls instead of basically handling everything with another grind in the sandbox.

No music in games is still an absolute mystery to me, even if it's the first game of a dev. It should be clear that music is a critical part of any game. If you do not want to focus too much on it, that's fine, but then AT LEAST slap in some royalty-free elevator music as BGM.

Was pretty fun to play as a game, I really like the radiant events from the NPCs, makes them feel alive.

Mechanics are sound and gameplay and overarching story are tight

Biggest critique would be writing, a lot of characters feel samey and I didn't feel myself getting attached to any of them in particular

Would've also liked it Tori could be assigned and have different outfits as part of NG+

Overall a very solid first game 4/5

Story - Pretty good take on a "zombie apocalypse" style scenario but held back by how sparsley the story is spread between the gameplay and relationship building. Dialogue is better written than average but all girls share certain mannerisms that make them feel samey.

Characters - Some good ones including solid older models. After you get half of the girls it just falls off though and the girls after seem like meaningless extra bodies to have sex with as they get less story than the first girls. Would have preferred to see half of them cut and the time given to the earlier girls.

Sex scenes - Eh. The submission and trust paths have some nice variety but are limited, often quick and don't have many images. The repeatable scenes when talking to the girls are also terrible. One picture each and to get them you have to grind the same relationship stuff with each girl with copy pasted dialogue. They are not worth it at all.

Music - There is none and I can't even recall sound effects. You'd think they would at least include screams or zombie noises to add to the atmosphere in relevant scenes but nope.

Managing the girls and resources is fun at first but even on the highest difficulty is basically trivial by the end of Act 1 so it feels like more grind instead of fun.

2/5. Worth a go for any fans of sandbox/resource management but for anyone else there are better harem games, better zombie games etc. Only play if you don't have anything else like it on your list waiting.

One of the best resource management games out there with adult content. Choices and upgrades feel meaningful in the early game. Wide variety of girls with different personalities and looks, just an all around really engaging game.

Zombie apocalypse, management, survival sandbox. Sounds worrying, right?

My Fallen Angels offers rather simple plot, MC is a part of search and rescue team during zombie apocalypse. His wife, leader of that team is gone missing in action. We have to step up, be a new leader and survive in this hostile world. And create a harem of hot girls. Along the way we meet new girls which join us, fight against some bandit gang and try to search for our wife. We have crafting, base upgrades so we have to search for resources. So we deploy our team to different places to search for things. There is also basic combat mechanic and a slave training mechanic for one of the girls. Surprisingly all this sandbox-survival-management stuff works pretty well. And its actually somewhat addicting. And there are the girls, our "Angels". Pretty much all of them are pretty lovely characters with some different personalities, characters and interests. There is this weird system where we have to build our relationships with them, by talking, flirting and seducing. Basically it just means we have to grind some points with them to unlock more options in that system and unlock some proper event scenes with them. It's not that grindy actually, when you figure out how this system works. What is weird about this is that the MC is portraited as a blue guy in those scenes. This makes this system feel somewhat disconnected from the rest of the game. MC have very distinguished look so i see no reason why not use that look in this system. Scenes we're getting through this system are not proper sex scenes, just some still images with sprites. This system would be much better if it was only for building relationships by talking etc. This being a sex delivery system is kinda disappointing.

Outside of this system there are around 70 proper scenes, some of them with different variants. Those scenes are much better than anything in that blue guy system but they still could be better. Many times we saw the same camera angles, but with different posing and no animations. Some of those scenes are pretty good, some of them could be a bit better, more expanded. Ending scenes are quite underwhelming. They're just 1-2 renders short scenes. Funny enough, we have also some dream scenes, which i don't really like in a porn game, but objectively speaking they're pretty good for the most part, possibly those are even the best scenes in the game. It's a shame those scenes are only MC dreams. In general, render quality is pretty solid. The same goes for the models. We have different body types, two chubby girls (which is very nice) and not many huge breasts. No music and no sound is always a bummer.

Overall My Fallen Angels is a pretty well made game. For a sandbox game it's not that long, it took me around 14 hours to do everything so it doesn't overstay its welcome. It's a bit grindy but it not that bad. Sandbox-management mechanics are solid and work surprisingly well. Game is not filled with pointless dialogue and/or fetch quests so that's a very good thing for a sandbox game. Sex scenes could be a bit more expanded and just bigger but they're still sexy and hot which makes this game a pleasurable experience.

Good story - good renders- good variety of women and personalities. It was (relatively) realistic as far as zombie apocaplyses go! Women joining with a guy who happens to bed them all while also maintaining a camp and occasionally going on raids.
Walking dead with a lot of women.

The Reason for me why I put up with the quality of most VN Games is the fact that there is potentially a good story (and some great fap material).

But every time a game relies on repetitive point grinds it just breaks apart for me.
I play games for a story, so any kind of stats are getting cheated up. I don't give a flying fuck about game mechanics. Why would I play Renpy games if I did?!

This game like other sandbox/management games just makes pacing random and horrible.

While the apocalypse story context is quite interesting there are few non-generic interactions compared to the generic one.
When on the first night you go to the girls and ask them how they do and they respond with "I am not doing so well" and that's it, then the game is already in the shitter for me.

The other thing is that I hate dream sex scenes because they are inconsequential and often times over the top for the story point. And this game makes all its early sex scenes exactly that.

I admit, I did spend only like 2 hours with the game and didn't progress a lot. I simply knew that whatever actual content (even some slave training) the game may have is likely not worth clicking myself to death.

Good game, some really beautiful female NPCs (hard to come by on this site), but the two things that spoil it is that it quickly becomes repetitive due to constant grinding and that pregnancy is just a post-ending event, instead of a game mechanic and you can't decide whom to impregnate. If there was not so much grind to improve relations with your girls, I'd give it 4 stars if not 5 outright.

Too much grind, the mini game (?) where you choose sex options is tedious too and the only scenes I got too see before dropping where sex dreams and I don't care about those.

The girls don't have much personality, the story is serviceable for a porn game, CGs are well done, besides the mechanics I can't say much more about it.

- At a point, relationships are very grindy and the same for every girl (except the unique events)

Dialogues:
- Alot of text. Considering the relationship-grind for each girl and the management aspects, alot of text makes it harder to enjoy everything

- No sound, which makes the game not as enjoyable as it could be.

--> All in one: The idea is nice, but the execution is not the best. It felt like there was no real content. Most of the game consists of the ressource and relationship grinds. While the idea itself is good, there is kind of an imbalance in the execution. 4 of 10. Still worth to look into. But if you reach a point, where the game gets boring/annoying, you can drop it, because you won't miss much, since the game stays linear.

Overall pleasurable experience, althought could be better. Story is good and I had fun playing. Well, most of the time.
Yes, there is a grind. During the game I didn't mind that much, also because progressing with relationships was quite nicely done, but the last sequence with fallen was super tedious and dissapointingly uneventfull. And sometimes chances of finding specific material are also outrageously low. I needed more than a month of constant scavenging to collect 15 electronic scraps(they drop by 5 at once) to build this one base upgrade from chapter 1.

What also dissapointed me, was severe lack of anal content. Yes, I know there isn't even this tag, but there were few instances of it, and one even repeatable. As this is my personal kink, I can't help being dissapointed with how liitle of it was inside the game.

Pretty models, decent storytelling, lots of stuff, some variability.

And GRIND. If you want to progress with a girl, then every time slot in the game you need to go several menus deep to click on multiple options to improve girl's stats. You need to do it several times to get to the new scene. You need to do it with every girl. One of the stats declines every day and requires several actions to be re-upped. Click-click-click-click...

Then there is gameplay of base management and exploration. Rather random and not directly controllable. Can't say that it hooked me.

It seems that dev himself felt same way. so there is included "fap mode" where everything is unlocked and you can just enjoy all the good stuff.

Great story line and design of level of challenges and reward. A well made harem game ever. I hated to finishing this game and expected more challenges and stories. Look for the developer's next game and hope there is more investment to the developer.

I enjoyed the storyline of this game, the models are actually quite good and varied between them. I really love that you can choose a trust or submission path for each girl, the one bad thing about this game is your day to day interactions with these girls trying to bed them. Instead of using an MC sprite there is a random blue silhouette thing, kind of makes all that work fucking them impersonal. Good game nonetheless.

Solid game. Not a fan of the blue dude for the non-story sex but whatever. Loved the breaking scenes in act 3. The seduction discussions were a little easy, but the actual gameplay was enjoyable. Izzy was my favorite angel.

Very well-made game. The game ran well and was well-coded. Did not encounter any script errors. The models looked to be personally made and not daz3d template rips. The sandbox aspect was also well drawn such as the maps and stand arts. Sex scenes were good as well although the dialogue was repeated in all of them over all the girls. Plot was decent as well. Pretty cool game, looking forward to what the dev makes next.

Boring, MC looks ugly af, girls feels like cyborgs zero personality... drop it after half hour. Not complaining about making hot girls but would be nice if we have a decent MC. Hard to not mention others ik is against rules so ill drop this right here before say break any rule.

OK, I will admit my score for this is a bit harsh.
I maybe could have slipped in more.

So the game is not terrible, sandbox part does not bother me, but the game just did not do anything for me.

It just became boring after a while. The idea sounded cool when we started off. The girls although not stunningly beautiful, were not too bad.

But for me, the girls and the MC had pretty much zero personality. I went through the motions, but it was basically just building mindless stats for the girls. (Above xxx you can do yyy) Pretty much the same for each girl.

You start of with a wife, the got lost, but arbitrarily after a couple of days decides that its time for you to move on.

I did not feel chemistry or sexual tension from any of the girls. The girls might as well have been cyborgs.

I will confess that I did not come close to finishing the game yet, but it feels like a chore to continue.

I will at some stage power through it, and if the game manages to convince me otherwise later on, I will adjust my rating.

TLDR: Not a terrible game, but for me there was also nothing wow about it.

P.S. It is very similar to another game that I used to love, but does not create the same level of empathy for the different female characters.

Pretty good game, a little grindy at times, but a nice story with many faps. Some dialogue is repeated for every girl, so once you've seen it you start skipping. It does contain many easter eggs, which is nice. The dev clearly went through a lot of effort. Small boobs though.
