I'm the developer of this game, along with two other people, forming the team 'Sticky Keys'.
I've been on this website for a while now, and I'm glad to finally have something of my own creation here !
I'm also glad most of you enjoyed the game. We made sure to focus on the 'game' part of the game first and foremost, along with the surrounding architecture of the game (Menus, options, save system, difficulty levels...).
We do take into account any review though, and I will update the game demo today to make the start intro skippable. We will also do our best to improve the platforming on future releases, although technically they will be for supporters only (I do have no doubt that they will still end up here, though. I trust you to make sure of that. I would do it myself, but that would go against the people that do support us.)
Future updates will also focus on adding content and level design on top of the existing architecture. We do already have a female enemy character in the works. The player character however, will probably stay male.

We have no plans to make common enemies interactable. There will be more medium enemies though as we call them overworld. They are not mini-boss only, mini-bosses are actually stronger variants of theses enemies. Our original plan was also to have more of them as you progress. For example, once you beat the punch shrimp, you can find a weaker variant on the very first room of the game, where you drop in for the first time. We want to have more of this, but we simply ran out of time, and we wanted to have the demo out for Halloween, which was our set deadline.
Don't love the first review posted the first day this game is released saying the game is unbalanced and lacking content... WELL DUH this is probably made by one dude maybe a few, this is a Demo, AS IT SAYS IN THE TITLE, which means that it can and will be updated in the future to have more content and be more balanced. I do agree grinding away at one enemy after another does not sound fun but that can be changed. That is why we have early access.

There is a save station available before the first mini boss if you go down.
I encourage you to try the easy or trivial difficulties. They were made with that in mind

Because:
1- It's a cool game, with really cool animations. So maybe if the dev see people liked it but disliked some aspects, it may influence future projects.
2- It's a forum, which means "a public meeting place for open discussion or voicing of ideas". Those often are intertwined with opinions.
Just because I don't like some aspects of the game doesn't mean I won't try it for it's other aspects.
If I ignore a tag, that lots of games (most not entirely based around that one tag but contains it) have, then some games that can be interesting (like this one) don't appear at all.
So, sorry if it got you hurt, but can you chill the fuck down? It's just my opinion and nothing more, if you don't like it, then why don't YOU ignore it entirelly?
