It doesn't work though sighWell. It works, so I happy that he spend his time on the story line and graphics, where it counts. Immature coding is only an eyesore for us nerds. No one else care.

Having the conditions the wrong way round is not bad coding. It's a coding error. It happens to everyone now and then. Bad coding is like you wrote, when you use "if and" instead of ranges etc. No one except nerds cares about bad coding. It doesn't work though sigh
It's actually not a coding error. Coding errors return exceptions or prevent the code from being compiled. Poor coding practices leads to logical errors which causes code to still run but perform unexpectedly.Having the conditions the wrong way round is not bad coding. It's a coding error. I don't mind or even like games with multiple paths as long as the path make sense based on the choices you make. Sometimes it's really vague. I've seen some games where spying on a woman showering triggers the romance path (she now knows you're interested in her), while in others it closes it for you (she thinks you're a pervert). Sometimes in cases like that, the game will outright tell you that you realize you screwed up, which means you can just undo it. But in others there's no indication other than when you don't progress with that love interst after a few updates.Well. That happens in MANY games and has nothing to do with coding, but is down to what you and I see as good behavior isn't always the same as what the dev. sees as good behavior. Or the dev. giving options that are a no go, like having incest and bad behavior in the same category. I like the bad behavior paths, but I would never ever choice an incest option. Not even if it was the only option for the bad path.
And that is why I hate games with multiple paths. I often ends up on the wrong path or are missing the option to make some choices because I made a wrong choice earlier on in the game. Thanks god I know how to read the code and use console commands to fix the stats so I get the path I like, despite not seeing eye to eye with the dev. when it comes to good and bad behavior.
You are so wrong on this. Coding errors doesn't always throw exceptions. They quite often "only" give a wrong result or unexpected behavior. But they are still coding errors. But we will probably never agree on this, so lets agree do disagree. It's actually not a coding error. Coding errors return exceptions or prevent the code from being compiled.
And that has nothing to do with what I wrote. I wrote it's only nerds who care whether you use the right method for the right purpose. As long as it works no one but nerds care about how the code looks. It's also not a nerd alert to be able to do if and statements this is very basic coding.
I'm pretty sure he knows how to code. It's a basic mistake that would have been caught during testing. But testing is NOT something dev. like to waste time on. So if anything you can bash the dev. for not doing proper testing. But again. We will probably never agree on this, so lets agree to disagree. Not bashing the dev but if he can't figure out the logic for simple if statements he may want to do a bit of reading on programming before continuing with another release.
Well. the whole problem is that the kind of content that makes sense in a path to you, might not make sense to me. So far I haven't seen a single multi path game, where I didn't had to reengineer the game and use console commands to fix stats so that the game progressed with the paths I like.I don't mind or even like games with multiple paths as long as the path make sense based on the choices you make. I also don't like content locked into certain paths unless it makes sense for it. It might make sense that choosing one of two girls that hate each other locks you out of the other. At the same time, a half-decent writer could make both happen easily.
Thanks for update and being honest about issues your havingWe apologize for this unforeseen circumstance

Hi, everyone. Regrettably, our lead artist and our co-writer have both been forced to abruptly leave our team due to separate personal and family issues. Although unexpected and unfortunate, we do respect their decisions.
As such, we've chosen to not delay any further and to release this as-yet-finished version of Episode 7 for all our subscribers only. We've also made the decision to STOP receiving all payments from our subscribers with immediate effect and have already enacted the account changes in our SubscribeStar. We promise we won't be collecting anything else until we get Violation Nation up and running again.
We apologize for this unforeseen circumstance, and we're still determined to carry on with Violation Nation as the rest of the team strongly believes in the story and project. As soon as we can resolve these issues, we'll be back to finishing this episode and continuing where we left off. It may take some time as we actively seek new team members, thank you for being patient with us. We'll definitely be giving updates on ourYou must be registered to see the linksalong the way should anything new come to light in the next couple of months.
