It takes all of ten minutes, at most, to go from starting a brand new save to beginning the Autumn Ball, when you use the in built cheats.

Wow, folks in this thread are just *really* insistent that replaying hours of a game you just finished to see a slightly different CG ending is a totally reasonable and expected thing to do and that any suggestion to the contrary is way out of line.

Fine then, when I figure out how to just modify the save to easily get to both endings, I'll keep it to myself, nobody else would ever want or need such a thing I guess.
You should make this mod lol, since there seems to be no workaround.
I recall there being a cheat to just unlock the two endings, but I'm going all the way back to 1.36.2 and still can't find it.
Depending where you started pimping out Hermione in your saves, it might be quicker to just cheat her to max whoring and mega slytherin points to avoid having to do all the private favour stuff, and do nothing but the necesary plot stuff to get to the autumn ball (Tutoring, some card battles and quiditch with Cho is all you need I think) and since you already did ending 2, that saves having to do all the public favour stuff as well. It'd be annoying, but doable in like ten minutes, and then it permanently unlocks both endings in all your saves going forward.

To be fair though, why isn't there just a "unlock the two endings" cheat? Yes I can spam CTRL for ten minutes, but it's not fun lol
I can't speak for the others on the team, but honestly? This is the first time I've seen it brought up as being an issue, so there's been nothing to prompt the creation of such a cheat. Given that there's no gallery, the 'Hey, if you continue you won't be able to do public favours' warning is usually enough.

7 months and counting for new update. This is the unfortunate state of many good games on this site.
Tbh, many games here appear to be developed without an actual "end-goal" in sight.
They instead devolve into endless projects, endless money-makers (for those that are profitable like WT:S)
Life goes on, and for some a lifetime passes ;)
Without sites like patreon we wouldn't be getting so many porn games in the first place. You have to take the good with the bad.

If you're itching for new content, the git is public, and the last update was on the 30th. While a 'feature complete' version is still some ways away, the team does have an end goal in mind. It's just going to take a while to get there, but thanks to Loafy developing as an artist, the development of the game has sped up.

What have they been doing on git? I know that they have a new artstyle in mind so I wonder will they change every Hermione pic?

I certainly see what you mean in other projects, the only other thread I follow on here is the "Something Unlimited" thread and that game has spiraled into unending side projects completely foreign to the original gameplay.

Having said that I don't see anything in WT:S that would indicate that at all. In fact I'd argue we already really have a finished product that's just being expanded upon like DLC that builds upon the original game.

You can play through Hermione's main story completely with no deviation and it feels like a full game. Over time additional women have been unlocked like Luna and Cho to be complete (or near so) in their stories. Tonks is next in line for an update from the sounds of it.

Honestly this dev does some of the things I really appreciate the most from what little experience on this site and the wealth of experience I have in gaming in general. They're open and honest about what they're doing, they complete one thing before shifting to another, they've built a general template/outline of what they're going to do which allows us as users/consumers of their work/art to have proper expectations of what will come next.

I don't think this is a full time job for any of them, I think this is a passion product they make some money from. That's not stable(for most people, this might be popular enough that might have morphed into a decent money maker but that could be gone in a second if goodwill dries up) so I don't fault them for a second for taking their time with the work. In game development in general I'm a firm believe in the old adage "It's done when it's done". Some of my favorite developers have used it and produced amazing works.

So ya, 7 months feels like a long time. If it helps I built a timeline of their "recent" update history to give you manner to build expectations (It's a page or two back; it's a big, ugly excel graphic so hard to miss). Right now I'm "loosely" anticipating a 9 month bake time for the next patch with a mild hope for a surprise October drop (October just feels like a Tonks month). That could be off, there's no hard/firm math behind my guess, but I'll be fine with however long they take because they've done a great job so far and I honestly mostly consider the work done at this point with bonus work added later.

You are giving the developers too much credit. Most people discovered this game because of Hermione and the vast amount of work on her storyline was done by Akabur. After so many years the improvements Silver has made seem insignificant. A few mediocre pics during the sex scenes without animations and a lot of fluff dialogue during the regular favors. Sure I am not complaining that Hermione has more fleshed out dialogue while she rejects you because she is not the required level yet, but are we really going to pretend that this is content? It's polish. Anyone can do that. Take the original premise, art and writing and add on stuff on the side so you don't break anything. It's basically what coders do during their first month in a regular job before they start... actually doing productive stuff. If this game had only Cho/Luna etc content it would have sank faster than the Titanic. It's all about Hermione.

Again, I am not complaining and I would rather play this over the original, but if we praise the silver team then we are admitting that we have no standards and that's just sad for us as species.

What you see often are self-learning developers who want to make a game and spend more time on learning art, coding, testing and so on rather than project estimation.

checking out the mod 4 years later, there is stuff written in the changelog but the game content remains the same (ie nothing is available, wait for the future version). Patreon games are so mysterious.

Like Ducks said, you're looking at the wrong branch. You'd need to check the dev branch to see up to date changes. You can even download dev branch and play it. Though that's a little more difficult than just downloading a fully compiled game and running it with a single click, so most people don't want to/don't know how to do that, which is fair.
