That's Good To Hear. I'm Planning On Playing The DLC This Week, So I'll Try Checking If The Unlock Conditions I Said For Nobunaga Is Correct Or Due To A Bug. Most JP Walkthrough Sites Also Stated You Only Need To Conquer "MOST" Heroines To Unlock Nobunaga, Which Is A Very Broad Stroke.

So Yeah, If Nothing Goes Wrong, I'll Update This Thread Of My Findings.
So just to add to the conversation about the Hideyoshi strategy, I've confirmed that you need to conquer all INITIAL map points (turn the flags on them into the red goblin flag) EXCEPT for TWO; they are they one with Tokichiyo (Battlefield) and Saburo Nobunaga (Kiyosu Castle). However, you need to have attacked Kiyosu castle successfully once, that is without capturing Saburo.

You do not need to capture the four evolved heroines if you had their base form spawn and left them fallow for 2 days, to trigger the switch from Saburo Nobunaga to evolved nobunaga.

Upon fulfilling the above conditions, Azuchi castle with evolved nobunaga will appear. As soon as you capture evolved nobunaga, Tokichiyo will turn into Hideyoshi.

It also doesn't matter if you capture Ranmaru or Yasuke, none of the defence heroines have any connection to making Hideyoshi appear.

Is this version have combined skill mechanic system??
Yes it does. here is a screengrab of the known combinations. Apologies if I butchered some names or translations

1729583823840.png

As far as I have experienced, it is a bloody PITA to get skill combos to pop, especially even more so to pop on the right species and with a good stat.

The main one which I personally think is the only one worth doing is the Divine Sword dance, because the mothers for the two skills both have good attack inheritance (which is the primary stat for this skill); Bennosuke (3 stars), and Musashi (4 stars). All the other skills have parent combinations that have wrong inheritance combos for the skill/gob species you want it for. The only catch is that you can only do one mother in a single run, since musashi is the evolved version of bennosuke, so this is definitely not a first run skill to aim for.

You can make one genetic line designed for attack, meaning the warrior and daimyo, and leave multiple utility skills to the onmyo (shaman), brute and noble where the skill mixing gets really really messy. I would advise starting with creating an attack stat line with bennosuke on your first run, and then swapping to musashi on your second, and then back to bennosuke on your next, etc. etc. etc.

Additional info: For those who don't know, skills from mothers are added to a 'skill pool' in a genetic line that is not visible. The moment you mate a gob to one particular mother with an active skill, that active skill goes into the offspring's 'skill pool', meaning that subsequent generations from that line may express any skill from the skill pool, including combo possibilities, regardless of the latest mating partner. Thus the more skills in the pool in a single line the harder it is to get the skills/combos you want on a succeeding generation.

Skills in the skill pool have their individual generation counter. It takes about 10 generations (20 from one source, idk I haven't tested that far yet) for a skill to disappear from a line if you haven't inserted one mating from a mother with that specific skill, so one run is a good enough length of time to build the combo and level up the line before you need to 'refresh' one of the skills in the combo. If you want to COMPLETELY clear the skill pool, you need to mate the line with a mother with NO ACTIVE skills for at least 10 generations.

Just Did A Quick Playthrough With The Latest DLC Version, And Yeah You're Right. Conquering All Map Nodes Will Evolve Saburo And Move Her To Azuchi Castle. (You Actually Can Wait For Kiyosu Castle To Unlock By Itself. It Takes 84 Days In Default Difficulty, While 42 Days In 5-Star Difficulty)

It Seems Like The Version I Was Playing Was Bugged. I Always Thought Ranmaru Was Pretty Strong Of A Heroine To Suddenly Attack At Day 49, Seems Like She Always Was Intended To Attack After Nobunaga(Map Node Version) Evolves.

Also I Have Confirmed That Hideyoshi's ONLY Unlock Condition Is, Capturing Evolved Nobunaga. I Tested Only Capturing Saburo Nobunaga Who Later Evolved Into Her Invasion Form. And Hideyoshi Just Appeared After I Captured Her. (picture attached below)

Correct, A Goblin has A Skill Pool Of 10. Also Quick Note, Whenever A Combined Skill/Combo Skill Is Generated, It Will Take 2 Slots From The Skill Pool. 1 Skill Inherited From The Mother, And 1 For The Combined Skill Itself. Also The Combined Skill Is Considered The Newest In This Regard, So The Skill From The Mother Side Will Disappear 1 Generation Earlier.

You Guys Might Know This Already But To Mass Produce Combined Skill, You Need To Create A Goblin With A Newly Obtained Combined Skill (Let's Call It 1st Generation), You Then Need To Breed The Next Few Generation Of That Goblin 8 Times To A Heroine With No Active Skill. After That, You Only Have To Mark Any Of The Goblin (This Is 9th Generation) That Came Out From The 8th Breeding As Your Favorite (the red mark on the top left corner on a goblin, see image below) So You Don't Get Confused On Which Goblin To Breed.

That Marked Goblin Will Now Only Have 2 Skills In Its Skill Pool, The Combined Skill And The Mother Skill When Creating The Combined Skill. When This Goblin Breeds With Another No Active Skill Heroine, All Goblins It Births Out Will Only Have The Combined Skill You Produced, Making Things Easier To Mass Produce The Combined Skill. So Just Keep On Breeding With The Marked Goblin And You'll Have An Army Of Goblin With Combined Skills.

If You Don't Know The Save/Load Trick For Breeding Goblins, Then I Suggest To Only Breed 1 Goblins On A Day You Are Doing This Trick, As You Might Accidentally Breed With A Goblin With A Different Skill Pool. (Gotta Admit It's Kinda Hard To Explain Without Any Visuals)

Fable, Eh? I Used Defense-Type Goblins In That Game, And It Was Surprisingly Good. It Has The Highest Single-Target Damage Out Of The 1 SP-Cost Skills.

I don't remember the save/load trick, might be helpful if you could point me to an explainer post or something. Much appreciated.

In anycase, for this current sengoku iteration, I've found the hardest boss is Oda Nobunaga (both of the evolved versions, map and invasion) mainly because of her skills that damage your entire party. You could, as always, just brute force your way with overpowered overbred 1k plus generation gobs (that's a valid strategy in and of itself, seeing you are supposed to be goblins) but I kinda like trying to clear the game with the minimum generations possible.

To do so requires a little bit of strategy and two super useful skills in clearing her are the combo skill that drains 3 sp (so she can't use her nuke) or the sleep spell that hits all enemies for 3 sp cost (just put it on your shaman). Trying to clear her in a non-brute way is quite fun and actually makes the DEF actually useful on your paladin in conjunction with the passive that attracts all aggro to him.

I managed to clear Oda (map version) at generation 14. It was quite the challenge. Kenshin was hard too because at that gen my DEF was not sufficient to tank and survive a round without using some sort of DEF buffing active (Cheer from chacha)

Sorry, I Don't Think I Saw Anyone Mention This Method Before. (Including JP sites)

Save/Load, AKA Save Scumming, Has Plenty Of Applications In This Game... But If It's Breeding, It Refers To Rerolling The Amount, Types Of Goblins Your Heroines Give Birth. To Do It, You First Have To Save The Game Before Breeding With A Heroine, Then After You Breed With A Heroine, You Save The Game On A Different Save File. After That, You Skip 2 Days So You Can Check What Goblins Have Been Born. If You're Satisfied With The Result, You Load On The Save File After Breeding, If Not Then Load Back To The Save File Before Breeding.

This Is Necessary Because Once You Breed A Goblin With A Heroine, The Amount, Type, Skills A Goblin Have Will All Be Fixed. So Even If You Save And Load Just Before The Heroine Gives Birth, The Result Will Never Change. I Highly Recommend Doing This When Trying To Create A Goblin With A Combined Skill.

Hardest Boss In Sengoku? Probably Evolved Nobunaga In Azuchi Castle. Since Her Passive Can Hit All My Troops, I Cannot Abuse The Healing Passive Skill My Hobgoblins Have. (Since It Only Heals The Gobs In Front Of Them) And I Use Goblin Champions As My Pack Unit, So I REALLY Don't Want My Backlines To Be Hit. But Once My Hobgoblins Learned Assassinate, I Was Able To Easily Eliminate The Mobs With 2 Hobgoblins Having Nabenosuke's Skill, And Then Two Other Was Able To Easily Kill Nobunaga With Yasuke's Skill.

I Think I Attacked Nobunaga Right After I Got 2 Hobgoblins With Yasuke's Skill... So Probably Day 67 or 68, So It's About Generation 22. But My Alpha Unit Hobgoblin's Generation Was Probably Lower (about 17 or 18) Since My Latest Goblins Was Already Polluted By Nabenosuke's Skill. But My Goblin Champions Who Are The Main Source Of Stats, Used As Pack Unit Are Generation 22, With About 150+ Strength. (since I kept farming STR+9 items pretty early on, I think it was Bennosuke's map node)

If You Are Wondering Why I Already Have Yasuke Before Taking Down Nobunaga, It's Because Of The Bug. I Only Need To Capture 3 Map Heroines To Unlock Ranmaru (at Day 49) and Yasuke (at Day 63). Then After Capturing The Two, I Can Evolve Saburo To Nobunaga Immediately Without Having To Capture All The Other Map Nodes.

Oohh... Using Strats Over Stats Eh? Pretty Impressive! But It Only Took Generation 14 For You To Beat Everything Eh? That's Amazing... Although, You Seemed To Have Not Been Able To Safely Breed Your Latest Goblin. >_> My Latest Goblin Generation Before The Time Limit Was 33. Also, I Too Have Breed Defense-Oriented Goblin Paladin. It's So Good In This Game As Invading Mobs Never Have Magic. (if you pull this stunt in previous iteration, the elves will two-shot your tank)

Strategy, Eh? I Remember Using Multi-Hit Attacks Before Coupled With A FIXED Damage Passive Skill Back In I'll Borne. (because of how ridiculously high the DEF of a certain boss there) But Stopped Doing It After A New Heroine That Can Entirely Ignore Defense Appeared. :ROFLMAO:

My Only Real Rule In Playing The Goblin Burrow Series Is Just To Finish The Hardest Boss In 1 Playthrough. And So Far, I Was Able To Do It. With I'll Borne As The Hardest, And The Fable Being The Most Fun I Had When I Tried A Defense Build-Only Run.

The wall of text is fine, but capitalising the first letter of every word is extremely disorienting to read.

Hmm interesting, maybe i Will try this strategy
Haha, It's more of a gimmick though. For this gameplay, you will need evolved Marina's active skill, Riptide. Since it's the only skill that scales off of defense. You will need a lot of testing for this kind of gameplay though.... But once you figured it out, it's extremely satisfying.

Here's an image of what my generation 22 Hobgoblins can do to the strongest boss in The Fable. This damage is done by abusing a lot of defense buffs, that are not normally helpful, but since the buff multiplier are so high it becomes ridiculous when used offensively.

if I use my old save, will this version of the game be the old version too?
If the old save is from an outdated version of Sengoku Gakido, then your old save will not downgrade the current version you are playing. You can unlock new heroines as long as you can fulfill their unlock conditions. So don't worry and play with your old save. (unless you want to play the old version because of the bugs, one of it is what I called unlimited stamina/action)

However, if the old save is from a different game like I'll Borne, or The Fable, then I'm afraid it will not work at all.

Has anyone figured out if its possible to still spawn yasuke, ranmaru, and shingen after triggering invasion type oda nobunaga (capturing saburo nobunaga - the unevolved version of her)?
